Océane Diméné, founder of Clos D'Avant

I've known this corner of Burgundy since I was a little girl: my grandfather lived here for twenty years, and I spent much of my childhood around his house. When he passed away, his old house stood empty. Rather than let it fall asleep, I wanted to bring it back to life, so I moved in.

That house taught me one thing: an old Burgundy home is never as beautiful as when it is lived in and welcomes people. 'D'Avant' (from times past) stands for the spirit of family homes and old-fashioned hospitality.

Trained in tourism and with experience at the front desk of independent hotels, I created Clos D'Avant with a simple idea: to bring our houses back to life and share the beauty of our region, with no hassle for owners or travellers.

I live in Vassy-sous-Pisy, at the heart of the Avallon – Semur-en-Auxois – Montbard triangle. I speak fluent French and English, get by in Spanish, and have some basic Chinese and Korean.
